Welcome to Fisher Park Soccer:

We’ve heard loud and clear that everyone wants to get their kids back into sports and we too are excited to get going. Player and community safety is our highest priority. Currently we are waiting for Ottawa Public Health to publish outdoor sport restrictions for the coming season. These will be set in conjunction with the current Provincial guidelines. Once these are out, we will be able to finalize our Return to Sport Plans.

In order to allow you some time for planning, we would like to outline our current plans.  We will only be offering soccer this year. We hope to resume t-ball and softball next year. Our soccer program will need to undergo substantial changes to meet the Province’s current guidelines. In the more restrictive zones, outdoor venues are limited to 100 people. (50 participants, 50 guardians). As a result we are looking at offering many more sessions but at greatly reduced numbers for each session.

The plan is to run the program  from May 3 until June 26. This year, given the limited number of people allowed on the field, our program’s success will be even more dependent on volunteer coaches. We do have a new online registration system but will be waiting until April to open it when we have confirmation of outdoor sport restrictions.

More details can be found on our website www.fisherparkrecreation.ca with regard to friend requests etc. Stay tuned for more updates.  Our team of volunteers is working hard to prepare our equipment and our fields so that we can have a safe environment to play responsibly.

We look forward to seeing you, safely, on the field this spring.
